Are These 6 Pet Trends Really Worth the Hype?

2020 has certainly been an interesting year for us all but it seems it’s allowed many of us to get our thinking caps on! Products and services that we once could never have dreamed of are becoming increasingly popular as the days pass.

Pet humanisation is becoming more apparent. Dog owners are continuing to have rising standards in many aspects of their dog’s life. This includes their diet, their grooming choice and even their dress sense.

It’s no wonder these things have become trendy either. I mean, our best friends deserve the best care and attention possible seeing as they give just as much, if not more, back to us.

We’ve listed our top 6 favourite pet trends of 2020 – let us know if you have succumbed to any of them too!

These technology devices have given us the ability to keep an eye on our furry friends from afar. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and do multiple different things.

Some of these include cameras, we have ones that dispense food and treats and even ones that measure how heavy toilet duties are! Crazy, right?

But it gives us the peace of mind that our dogs are safe and sound without us – or if they’re not, it gives us the opportunity to discover this and correct it!

Okay, so Apple haven’t made a doggie version of their watch.. yet. What we do have are trackers that allow you to connect via Bluetooth to see how far your dog walks each day, their hours slept and even how many calories they’ve burnt!

It’s important to know how to control weight management in dogs and what better way than rock solid statistics? Most of them clip onto your dog’s collar and they’ll barely even notice it’s there!

Being a dog parent can be hard – it’s just like raising another child! Getting on top of nutrition and always researching what your dog needs may even be a bit daunting.

It’s no wonder adding dog supplements to your dog’s diet has become popular – it’s easy! Starting them from young enables them to keep all of the appropriate nutrients topped up in their bodies to help prolong common diseases as they age.

Using dog nutraceuticals means that you don’t have to worry about whether your dog is reaching their optimal health. It may also save you on some costly vet visits in the future.

We are loving dog subscription boxes this year! You’re right, they’ve been around for a little while but this year has seen many more be created.

We have options with toys, food and accessories and sometimes a full-blown surprise. It certainly keeps the excitement up not only for your dog but for you too.

Also, what’s not to love about a rolling subscription where you don’t have to think about it – it just arrives at your door?! We love that many brands have collaborated together for some in particular too – we’ve got to stick together out here!

This is creativity at its finest. We’ve seen many of these on social media and new businesses starting up with portraits of pets and we could not be more supportive of the idea.

There are some incredibly talented people in this world and them offering their services to draw or paint your dog is a blessing.

They make for the perfect and thoughtful gift or simply a treat for yourself. It’s a great way to remember a dog that is no longer with you or a way to show off your extended family member. We’re all for it!
